The Director of Relationship Banking is responsible for leading, managing, and growing the Bank's community based retail division.
This individual will establish goals and implement strategies to achieve growth, profits, quality, and exceptional customer experience.
The Director of Relationship Banking ensures customer service is delivered consistently across all retail channels and drives product and process innovations in response to evolving customer and market needs.
This position is part of the Bank's senior management team and reports to the Bank's President and Chief Operating Officer.
This individual will be part of the team that helps determine the Bank's long-term direction, policies, and addresses ongoing strategic issues.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Retail Management:

Manages all aspects of retail banking, including personnel, sales, service, operational efficiency, product development, technology, and compliance.

Provides strategic leadership to promote a profitable sales experience across all markets, while increasing customer and shareholder value.

Develops and executes a deposit strategy to achieve growth goals in terms of deposit growth and cost of funds.

Develop and executive a retail banking strategy to exceed loan growth goals.

Monitors current trends in banking industry and assesses market conditions to implement retail strategy to gain and sustain the Bank's relevancy and competitive edge.

Evaluates current retail banking products and services for opportunities to improve, change, or expand the portfolio.

Leads the instruction and consistent execution of sales strategies to enhance client and sales culture.

Creates and monitors annual budgets with a focus on deposit balances, fee income, and operating expenses.

Drives and analyzes the branch system footprint and profitability.

Assesses, recommends, and implements marketing plans to meet retail banking strategic objectives.

Travel to all retail locations to support communication and coaching efforts and achieve desired results.
Strategic Leadership and Collaboration
Provides strategic leadership to promote a profitable sales experience across all markets while increasing customer value.

Acts as lead integrator of consumer business partners (digital banking strategies, wealth management, mortgage lending, commercial lending, and treasury management).

Works in coordination with facilities management as needed.

Collaborates and aligns Retail Banking with Bank Operations, Information Services, Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, and other partners as appropriate to create, enhance, and maintain current procedures for Retail Banking.

Participates in community organizations, activities, and events, helping to enrich the community.
Enhances the image and protects the strong reputation of the Bank.

Actively participates in the Bank's Pricing, Asset Liability Management, Fraud, Technology, and Executive Risk Management Committees making recommendations for action.
People Management:

Maintains a highly motivated and engaged team consisting of the Regional Branch Managers, Customer Contact Center Manager, Retail Development Officer, Friends Club Director, Youth and Education Coordinator and Retail Support Specialist.

Provides strong leadership to the team to promote a culture of ongoing feedback, performance and development discussions to enhance overall employee engagement and improve retention, promoting and demonstrating the bank's core values of care, connect and trust.

Promotes a culture of outstanding employee performance through ongoing engagement and talent development to improve retention and build future leaders.

Evaluates performance consistently, providing guidance and coaching to team members at both the individual and team level to improve retail banking performance.

Assists in training and retention of high-quality employees committed to a culture of exceptional customer service, inspiring the confidence of customers and colleagues.

Supports and promotes a diverse and inclusive work environment.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
or B.
S.
) from four-year college or university; and ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have proficiency working with Microsoft Office.
This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment.
This includes computer skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.

Requires work before or after normal business hours.

Requires some overnight travel to attend various conferences, schools or training programs
Must sign a non-compete.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
